What inspires me to write and maintain this blog? It’s usually because I want to tell you something about a car or some place I’ve been or I’m feeling playful and just want to make you laugh (the kind of laughter where tears roll down your face). It’s the end of the year so while I recharge my creative batteries, I’m going to share with you some of my favourite blogs of the year.
1. 7 Confessions Of A Car Blogger
This is the blog where I open up about the less than perfect stuff that goes on behind the scenes – the stuff that reminds me that I’m not as smart or polished as I think I am. Hard to believe, eh?
2. The Insider’s Guide To Rural Roads
I drive a lot on rural roads so I’m the insider and this is my guide.
3. 10 Worst Crimes Against Cars Committed By Owners
It shouldn’t bother me but it does. People do some pretty awful things to their cars and they don’t even know they’re doing it. My real pet hate is the odd-coloured panel look. I used to pass by a car every time I left the house that was red with a green bumper. Used to drive me nuts.
4. The 6 Drivers That Ruin A Good Day Out
I get very grumpy when I’m driving a lovely car but I can’t drive it properly because there are too many morons in cars to make any decent progress. So one day when I was bored I gave them names and this blog was born.
5. Why The Millennials Are Wrong About SUVs
Sometimes I read something and it gets me so worked up that I feel compelled to let off some steam on my blog. I came across a survey of millennial attitudes to SUVs, and I can’t resist a good millennial story, so I wrote this blog to dispel some ridiculous false beliefs (in my opinion) that this group supposedly have about SUVs. And then I found some of the best pictures of hipsters and cars I’ve ever seen and there was no going back. I HAD to publish it.
