The 2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has arrived in Ireland. The revamped range of one of Ireland’s favourite large premium saloons will go on sale priced from €52,910.

The first versions of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class 2020 range to arrive here are the E-Class Saloon and Estate versions. Updated E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet models will follow.

The new E-Class will also be available with two plug-in hybrid versions, one petrol and one diesel with an all-terrain option.

What’s new for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class in 2020?

Styling has been updated for a more youthful appearance, particularly around the front end, in line with other models in the Mercedes-Benz range. The designers also updated the Saloon’s rear end with a new bumper, split tail lamps and a new boot lid. The inner design of the tail lamps is revised for all models.

There are new colours and trims for the interior too, along with the latest-generation MBUX and ‘Hey Mercedes’ multimedia and voice-activated assistance systems with touch screen functions. Displayed on two large, high-resolution multimedia screens, both come housed beneath a shared glass cover that creates a widescreen cockpit effect. There’s also a new steering wheel.

Mercedes-Benz Ireland says other notable elements include a high level of standard and optional driver assistance functions that work automatically to support the driver. There’s also a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, fuel saving weight reduction and emissions control elements for the range revamp in 2020. Full LED headlamps and taillights are fitted as standard.
