The new Fiat Tipo hatchback and estate has arrived in Ireland promising ‘more for less’.

Fiat has been absent from the C-segment for quite some time now, but the new Tipo is exceptionally well priced so will certainly get a look into this highly competitive market.

The range kicks off at €17,995 for the hatchback, and €19,245 for the estate. A saloon will join the range in January 2017 and Fiat Ireland say that it will have an entry price even less than the hatchback.

The Tipo is one of the biggest cars in its class so there is no doubt that the new Tipo is a good value prospect in the five door hatchback and compact estate market.

A further boon is that for a limited time Fiat Ireland is offering level 2 ‘Easy’ trim cars at the same price as the entry level Pop trim. Air con, four electric windows, and Bluetooth come as standard while Easy trim adds niceties such as a five-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, rear parking sensors and cruise control.

Top spec Lounge models start from €19,245 for the hatchback and include satellite navigation, climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic lights and wipers, rear view camera, driver’s side lumbar support and a chrome pack.

The petrol Tipo range comprises of a 95hp 1.4-litre, a 120hp 1.4-litre turbo and the 1.6-litre 110hp ‘e-TorQ’ with an automatic gearbox. There are two turbo diesel engines for new Tipo: a 95hp 1.3-litre and a 120hp 1.6-litre.
