The new Kia Niro hybrid crossover has arrived in Ireland, priced from €29,095 including the €1500 VRT reduction for hybrids.

The Kia Niro offers the practicality and kerb appeal of a mid-size crossover, with an economical and low emission hybrid powertrain.

The Niro’s hybrid powertrain – made up of a 1.6-litre GDI petrol engine, lithium-ion battery pack, electric motor and a six-speed double-clutch automatic transmission – emits 88g/km CO2, and is capable of returning up to 74mpg. The combined system produces 141hp.

One trim is available in Ireland for new Kia Niro. Standard equipment on the EXL model includes  sat nav, Android Auto, full leather interior with heated front seats, heated steering wheel, dual zone climate control, Lane Keep Assist, LED front and rear lights, and rear privacy glass.

The Kia Niro comes with a new wireless charger for mobile devices, enabling users to charge a mobile device on the move, without the need for a wire connection.

A second model Niro ADAS (prices to be confirmed) will add Autonomous Emergency Braking and Smart Cruise Control.

The Kia Niro is in Irish Kia dealerships now.
