Great success for the Peugeot Partner in the new van market

The Peugeot Partner van, Continental Tyres Irish Van of the Year 2020, is Ireland’s best-selling van year to date in 2020.

Sales of the new Partner van accounted for 8.2% share of the critical first quarter market. And between 2019 and 2020, Partner van sales grew by 28.4%, a great success for Peugeot Ireland.

In total, the French brand’s light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales grew by +18.1% in the first three months of 2020. Peugeot vans now command 10.7% of the overall LCV market.

The new Peugeot Partner van was launched in 2019. It is the first Peugeot light commercial vehicle in the range to be fitted with the Cockpit® interior with compact steering wheel and heads up instrument panel. There are a choice of six trims including Access, Active, Active Plus, Professional, Professional Plus and Grip trim. Standard equipment includes USB, Bluetooth, 15” wheels, spare wheel, driver and passenger airbags, overhead storage, rear panelled doors and full steel bulkhead.

Anything else to know about the new Peugeot Partner Van?

Innovative options include the Overload Indicator for safe loading within the maximum authorised payload and Surround Rear Vision. This provides blind-spot camera vision or rear view vision when driving (standard on Professional Plus trim).

Diesel engines include a 1.5 BlueHDi diesel 75bhp 5-spd manual, a 1.5 BlueHDi diesel 100bhp S&S 5-spd manual, a 1.5 BlueHDi 130bhp S&S 6-spd manual and a 1.5 BlueHDi 130bhp S&S automatic 8-Speed S&S. The new Partner is available in two lengths. Payloads range from 650KG to 1,000KG and up to two Europallets can be accommodated.

The Partner range retails from €16,935 plus delivery related charges in Ireland, or ex-VAT from €13,768 plus delivery.

New Peugeot Rifter passenger range

The new Peugeot Rifter is the passenger version of the Partner Van and replaces the Peugeot Partner Tepee MPV. It’s always been popular in Ireland for a combination of space and value. The award-winning Rifter is available in two lengths with five or seven seats. There are a range of petrol and diesel engines.
