Skoda Ireland has announced safety, technological and specification upgrades across the Skoda Superb range for 2018.

The Skoda Superb has been successful among fleet buyers for some time, and now radar operated Lane Assist and Blind Spot Detection will provide increased safety and security for frequent motorway drivers.

Connected Services such as E-Call and Care Connect debuted in the Skoda Kodiaq range in March 2017 and are now provided as standard across the Superb range. The Superb features a built in SIM card, enabling calls to the Skoda Customers Service Team, ŠKODA Recovery Services and also the Emergency Services in the event of an accident. The ŠKODA Connect mobile App give owners access to see where their Superb is located and the exact vehicle status at any time.

Skoda Superb Style and luxury Laurin & Klement models receive a host of standard equipment for 2018. A new 9.2” colour touch screen with Gesture Control for swiping between menus without having to even make contact with the screen takes centre stage in the cockpit and provides access to connected services such as Infotainment Online. Infotainment Online is provided free of charge for 1 year and provides users with access to News, Weather and Google Earth overlays for the Navigation System. Additionally, wireless phone or mobile device charging is now provided as standard.

New 7-speed DSG automatic transmissions are offered across the Skoda Superb range and replace the older 6-speed versions available up to now.

The Superb SportLine model was introduced in 2017 and also receives an enhancement, with a Panoramic Sunroof and 19” Vega alloy wheels as standard for a price increase of €250.

Commenting today, Mark Mulvaney, PR, Events & Sponsorship Manager at ŠKODA Ireland said: “The Superb is a car that truly lives up to its name. In a market of fierce competition, it continues to come out on top, offering the Irish customer unrivalled space, comfort and value for money. Despite the growth of SUVs in Ireland in recent times, Superb sales continue to grow. These latest improvements to the Superb combined with our 0% PCP Finance offers extended into February make this car difficult to beat again in 2018.”
