The new generation Suzuki S-Cross has arrived in Ireland and goes on sale priced from €29,365.
What’s new for the 2022 Suzuki S-Cross?
Suzuki’s C-segment SUV has a bold and more muscular design, including angular wheel arches and smooth flowing lines. The front end design incorporates a raised bonnet line, piano black front grille and new design three LED position headlamps.
This theme continues at the rear with larger combination lamps that integrate horizontally with the rear centre garnish to emphasise a sense of width, in addition to roof rails and integrated rear spoiler.
Inside there is a more spacious and versatile interior, and a higher standard and safety specification than the previous model. The boot offers 430 litres of space.
The new Suzuki S-Cross is powered by a 1.4-litre petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid technology and a manual or automatic gearbox. A full hybrid will join the range before the end of the year.
The 48V Hybrid powertrain for new S-Cross is very lightweight in design and its components add less than 15kg to the overall weight of the vehicle. It’s designed to improve the efficiency of the vehicle.
Weight savings during development help the new S-Cross remain one of the lightest SUVs in its class at just 1,235kg for 2WD with manual transmission and an increase of only 70kg for the optional ALLGRIP model (manual transmission).

Anything else?
There are two trim levels: Motion and Ultra. Standard equipment includes 17-inch painted alloy wheels, three signature LED projector headlamps for low and high beam, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control with speed limiter, keyless entry and start, dual zone auto air conditioning, heated front seats and front and rear parking sensors.
The Ultra model will arrive before the end of the year and will be four wheel drive only. It adds 17-inch polished alloy wheels, leather seat upholstery, integrated on-board navigation, panoramic sliding sunroof and further driver safety and convenience with the fitment of a 360 view camera.
S-Cross is produced at the Magyar Suzuki plant in Hungary.
Suzuki has also just launched a new estate car in Ireland – the Suzuki Swace.
