Toyota to launch 4 new models in 2026

Toyota Ireland has unveiled its new 2026 model range, with four new models planned to arrive in the first quarter: the 6th generation RAV4, all-new C-HR+ compact electric crossover, new Aygo X Hybrid city car and an updated bZ with more range and efficient charging.

The new Toyota C-HR+ will expand Toyota’s range of full electric vehicles, alongside the bZ large crossover, when it arrives in March. It will sit beside the C-HR Hybrid, however is built on a different platform and is more spacious inside. It’s said to have a range up to 609 kilometres and will compete with rivals like the Kia EV3 and the Skoda Elroq.

The bZ has also had a significant revamp that sees a higher capacity battery pushing out more range – up to 567 kilometres – and numerous other updates that should make it more comfortable and refined when it arrives in December just in time for 261 registrations.

Both Toyota EVs will include battery preconditioning for more efficient fast charging. Toyota Ireland is boldly pricing both the new C-HR+ and bZ the same, to give customers the ultimate sense of choice between the two EVs. Sport versions start from €41,355.

Toyota has also heavily revamped the Aygo urban crossover for 2026 with a stylish new front end and new GR Sport trim level. However the biggest update is under the skin: the 1.0-litre petrol is gone, replaced by the 1.5 hybrid from the Yaris and Yaris Cross. This makes the Aygo X Hybrid more powerful and efficient than its predecessor. It’s expected in January, priced from €24,195.

The 6th generation Toyota RAV4 will also make its debut in March 2026, with a choice of hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrains, and pricing set to start from €46,795.

Ireland’s best-selling car brand for the fifth year in a row, Toyota has enjoyed great success with its range of hybrid cars and SUVs. EVs currently only account for 3% of the brand’s overall sales, but the arrival of the C-HR+ should boost Toyota’s EV sales in the popular compact segment.
