Pat Ryan, Managing Director of Citroën Ireland, said:
“The new C4 finally squares the circle in terms of finding a comfortable family hatchback that offers everyday practicality without compromising on style. The New C4 is compact on the outside but spacious on the inside. It’s also an elegant and sturdy vehicle that I believe will do extremely well here in Ireland. First models will arrive in January 2021 and we will be announcing our prices and specifications for this fantastic new compact hatch in September.”
The Citroën C4 concept first launched in 1928 as the French brand’s first compact vehicle. However, it is best known for the 2004 model, which sold 3 million units globally and was a great exhibit of the French brand’s bold design and technology. According to Citroën, the new C4 will build on this legacy and offer the “elegance, fluidity and dynamism of a compact hatchback coupled with the strength, character and robustness of an SUV”.
In Ireland the brand currently offers a wide range, including passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Top models include the fun, colourful C3 supermini, C3 Aircross and the C5 Aircross family SUV. The brand’s first electrified model, the Citroën C5 Aircross PHEV (plug-in hybrid) is expected in Ireland before the end of the year.
